The White Company Christmas Range

The Brief

Seasonal events can be a minefield for retailers, which is why The White Company sought Matrix’s help with its Christmas beauty gifting range. Drawing on 20 years’ experience working with luxury beauty brands, Matrix could truly get to the heart of The White Company and deliver a highly competitive product range. Each piece needed to reflect the rich heritage of the 21-year-old brand, while reinforcing its reputation for stylish and high-quality fragrance, homeware and clothing.

The Work

Matrix carried out in-depth analysis of its market and trend research to develop products and giftsets inspired by bestsellers in the same sector, which provided the direction for the eventual product creation.

To maximise the already popular full-size retail beauty products, Matrix embarked on a match formulation process, enabling it to add a variation of miniatures to the range.

Five different gift sets were created, including cracker sets, sleep sets, handbag sets, stocking fillers and a fragrance wardrobe. The Christmas range was further enhanced with new products and accessories, such as new silk eye masks, lip balms and pulse point fragrances.

The Result

The White Company had another record season in the two months ahead of Christmas. Following the success of the launch, Matrix has also collaborated with a well-regarded subscription beauty box to feature The White Company’s new products within it as well as successfully launching the brand onboard Qatar Airways.
