As a leading supplier of amenity kits and bedding to the airline industry, we keep a close eye on trends and what each airline provides to its customers to enhance their journey. The demand for luxury brands onboard is stronger than ever with airlines ambitious to seek out the next best brand for their passengers. We’ve pulled together a list of the best airline amenity kits that offer in-flight luxury.
By partnering with luxury skincare brand, Elemis, the British Airways first-class amenity kits, housed in Temperley London bags, offer luxury and sophistication. The bags, designed by Alice Temperley are available in black velvet (male) and the Temperley “Star” design (female).
You’ll find around £100 worth of cosmetics from Elemis’ Pro-Collagen range. As well as the usual suspects like an eye mask, pen, socks and hand wipes, you’ll find nourishing lip balms, eye creams, moisturisers, deodorants, cleansing wipes and a refreshing rose mist.
American Airlines launched their new range of amenity kits across first, business and premium economy earlier in 2019, working with three different apparel brands to develop a different bag for each cabin.
For the first-class Cabin, American Airlines collaborated with leather accessories brand This is Ground to create a small leather case, available in a number of different styles and colours. Unlike other amenity bags, the leather cases are designed to be laid down flat and opened up like a book. The styles range from long and thin to broader and nearly square-shaped, secured shut by either zip or snap fastener offered in four colours: black, blue, brown and beige.
Along with the essentials, the leather case contains body lotion, face cream and lip balm from the Singapore-based brand Allies of Skin.
United teamed up with award-winning skincare brand Sunday Riley, who created a brand new range of products exclusively for global travellers to help them look and feel their best.
The range is comprised of three new amenity kits for business class, premium plus and transcontinental plus passengers. The business class kit includes a hydrating lip balm, soothing face cream and nourishing hand lotion. All are made with botanical-enhanced skincare formulations and come in a stylish navy pouch. Transcontinental plus passengers get the lip balm while premium plus passengers get the lip balm and hand cream.
Qatar Airways First and Business Class: Bric’s Pouch Featuring Castello Monte Vibiano Vecchi Products
These are available to both first and business class passengers, with subtly different male and female bags. The women’s bag can be transformed into a cross-body bag with its adjustable strap and the men’s bag doubles as a washbag. Both kits each come in two different colours: the women’s come in black and red, and the men’s come in mustard and navy.
Business-class kits contain a lip balm, a hydrating facial mist and anti-ageing cream while first-class passengers get a night recovery cream. Socks, eyeshades and earplugs are also included while first-class passengers get Bric’s signature spectacle pouch and hairbrush.
There are four designs in total and pairs are rotated every six months. Inside you’ll find a range of goodies from L:A Bruket, including an almond-coconut lip cream and a chamomile-lavender facial hydrator. You’ll also find an eye mask with soft-touch fabric, earplugs, and, of course, a toothbrush.
They don’t just look amazing, they’re good for the environment too as they use cardboard packaging rather than plastic.
The kits contain some impressive materials including a hydro-energising make-up remover and mist lotion, an ultra-nourishing oil for the face, body and hair, and even an ultra-moisturising body treatment. Of course, there’s also the usual eye mask, pen, earplugs and comb.
But perhaps the star of the show is the exquisite boxes which come in imitation leather and feature two stylish colours: French grey and iced mocha. The magnetic fastener just adds a little extra touch of class.
China Airlines have pulled together an impressive business class amenity kit, in celebration of the airline’s 60th anniversary.
The airline has teamed up with well-known outdoor brand The North Face to create a truly memorable bag to contain the amenity kit. The bag (available in red or black) is made from a lightweight, water-resistant Tyvek material and secured by a carabiner metal clip.
Asiana Airlines First Class: Salvatore Ferragamo’s Tuscan Soul
In addition to your usual amenities, you’ll find a range of luxury cosmetics from the Tuscan Soul Bianco di Carrara line, which have a unique, fresh unisex fragrance with top notes of Neroli and White Pepper. These include a scented facial mist, cologne, hand cream, lip balm, lotion and facial wipes.
Singapore Airlines First Class: Lalique
The black travel case includes an impressive array of cosmetics that are intended for use beyond the flight. Products contained in the package are taken from Lalique’s Néroli line and include a bar of soap, lip balm and body lotion. There’s even a scented candle to take home with you and a small Lalique crystal as a keepsake.
Emirates paired with Italian design powerhouse Bulgari to develop their first-class amenity kit. Together they have created a stunning amenity kit filled with high-end cosmetics in equally high-end bags.
Men’s First Class bags are made from leather while the women’s bags have more of a soft, satin feel.
Contained within are Italian-made Bulgari products exclusive to Emirates. These include a body lotion and the brand’s signature Red Tea miniature spray (with green, white and black tea sprays to follow). Men’s kits contain shaving foam and a Bulgari After Shave Balm, while the women’s kit includes the Bulgari Nourishing Face Emulsion and mirror.
