Owing to Matrix’s previous success in the market for moulded fashion tech products we had created for previous clients including New Look, Paperchase and Accessorize, Primark approached Matrix to help them create a new range of moulded products and tech for their global stores. They wanted a stand-out fashion tech range that had bespoke unique shapes at an affordable price point for the Primark customer.
Drawing inspiration from ongoing in-depth trend analysis and working with the Primark style guide, Matrix presented a range of novelty product concepts, all featuring a variety of products. The designs developed into the ‘Rainbow Poop’ and ‘Cool Cat’ ranges. Both ranges include a silicone moulded power bank, silicone moulded earphones, dual head USB charging cable and a moulded earphone splitter.
Matrix and Primark continue to collaborate to produce a new range of novelty products every 8-12 weeks, to keep up with developing and changing trends and meet customer demand for products in keeping with the latest “it” designs. Matrix are able to deliver new product ranges in this short time frame by using ongoing trend research and analysis to guarantee that Primark have the latest novelty tech trends for their stores.
