As part of the ongoing plan to enhance and develop the creative output here at Matrix, we have recently started renting additional work space at Makerversity, London.
Makerversity, is a pioneering community of emerging creative businesses. It provides us with access to a range of studio, event and fabrication spaces in addition to prototyping tools such as 3D printers and laser cutters, which enable us to quickly produce prototypes of products for our clients enabling them to gain an idea of what their products might look like in addition to making amends here in the UK. This exciting new workspace exists to support and showcase emerging talent, alongside space for more established businesses and we hope that by working amongst a vibrant creative community, our creative team will thrive!
Our 3D Product and Graphic Designer Scott Moore has benefited from using the space and said, “ The 3D & workshop facilities have helped us not only develop and test new products, but discuss them with other designers from different backgrounds. The co-working atmosphere is invaluable to our industry and the output of our studio, and in-turn the products we are creating.”
In addition to the amazing facilities, Makerversity provides an opportunity for us to network with creatives with a range of different skillsets including fashion designers, musicians, graphic and product designers.
Creative Director, Ben Read said, “We are really excited to be using this creative work space, it allows for members of the team to get work done away from the in-house design studio in addition to providing an opportunity to collaborate with other design houses.”
