Boots UK identified wellness as a key and growing category for them, they approached Matrix to work collaboratively on creating and launching an accessible gifting range within this area. The aim was for the range to consist of 10 – 15 products and launch in 300 stores as well as online for Christmas 2019.
Matrix carried out in-depth trend analysis of the wellness sector and found that, unsurprisingly, the main reason people don’t focus on their own wellbeing is a lack of time.
We live increasingly busier lives with distractions such as social media taking more of our time than ever before, making it even more important to create moments to focus on wellbeing.The aim was to develop a range of products at an accessible price point that are easy to incorporate into everyday life, to help customers create “mindful moments” throughout their day. We identified that the core focus of each range should be fragrance, with unique fragrance blends created to help customers relax, sleep or recharge.
Luminova; a wellness-inspired beauty and lifestyle brand consisting of 3 ranges; Time to Recharge, Time to Relax and Time to Sleep. The fragrance-led ranges each have a hero “pulse point spray” and four-five additional products, including at least one gift set, at a range of different prices.
The products range from a floral salt scrub, mind and sole gift set and bath cubes in the Time to Relax range, to a quartz facial roller, mind and mane gift set and body massage soap in the Time to Recharge range and a wind down journal, sleep mask and goodnight gift set in the Time to Sleep range. The packaging was designed to be disruptive in a space which becomes flooded with gold, green and red in the lead-up to Christmas.
The range will launch in 300 Boots stores as well as online on the 4th of November 2019 with plans to extend the range for 2020.
