The challenge was to provide not only hand cream and facial mist but also a retail-size parfum. Delivery deadline: just four months.

The Work:

Matrix’s beauty team assessed our brand portfolio to find a suitable partner for SIA. We proposed a shortlist of three suppliers, all of whom had the three items in their range and were excited to partner with one of the world’s best airlines. Miller Harris was chosen, with a brief to refresh the fragrance every four months.

Matrix’s supply chain team worked tirelessly to contact all of the ingredient suppliers and the brand’s French fragrance specialist, to ensure the challenging delivery schedule was met.

We then had to mould a new toiletry and eau de parfum bottle to ensure the co-branded products exactly matched the retail items but could also be delivered through Matrix’s specialist supply chain.

The Results:

More than 60% of the cost of purchasing through the brand’s retail supply chain was saved. The range launched in April 2016, just four months after order confirmation; this was no mean feat when fragrance had to be shipped from France to make the products. Both the airline and the brand are very happy with the results, and we look forward to a long and prosperous brand collaboration.
