British Airways First Class x Liberty Amenity Kits

The Brief

In a move to improve the customer experience and to add passenger value to a First Class flight, British Airways approached Matrix to facilitate a premium designer collaboration for their First-Class Amenity Bag.

The Work

Matrix set to work to look for a perfect brand partner for Britain’s flag carrier airline. It soon became apparent that Liberty London, Britain’s iconic luxury department store was indeed the perfect choice. Famous for its iconic style and quintessentially British heritage, Matrix Worked collaboratively with Liberty London and British Airways to create an exclusive range of designer washbags for customers flying First Class with British Airways.

The sleek, slim and stylish washbags feature a contemporary design using a range of carefully chosen collectable prints from Liberty London’s vast textiles archive. The women’s washbag features ‘Christelle’, an eye-catching oriental inspired floral print, and comes complete with a convenient wristlet. The men’s washbag features a black embossed textured exterior, with ‘Felix Raison’ paisley motif printed lining.

The Result

The new Liberty London washbags appeared onboard from January 2017. After a successful launch, further print designs were added to the collection, giving British Airways customers the opportunity to enjoy even more of Liberty London’s iconic style.
