Accessorize – Fashion Focussed Water Bottles

The Brief

Matrix and Accessorize, a global retail brand with stores in 74 countries, have collaborated over many years to re-invent the gifting space, ensuring the latest on-trend products are introduced into the range.

Matrix have developed a range of different products for Accessorize over the years, inspired by changing retail trends, of transfer tattoos, keyrings, novelty lip balms and earphones. The latest product brief was to source reusable water bottles to meet growing customer demand for fashionable, sustainable products and in line with the brands goal to reduce their global environmental impact.

The Work

Calling on trend research and retail expertise, Matrix and Accessorize worked collaboratively, along with the factories, to produce the final product; the designs and patterns to feature on the bottles were created by the Accessorize design team and art worked onto the product templates by the Matrix design team. The final designs were then sent over to the factories for sampling, development and final production. The water bottles all feature labelling on swing tags, highlighting that the product is reusable and educating customers about the products longevity.

The Result

The fashionable designs and competitive retail price ensured the success of the first range of designs. Accessorize requested repeats and move-ons that Matrix were able to turn around quickly to meet customer demand.

Matrix are continuing to develop trend led, innovative products for Accessorize, consistent with the look and feel of the brand which has developed over time. Recognising retail customers’ need for newness and excitement, we continuously work with our factories and creative team to develop relevant products and designs, including gifting and novelty packaging.
